Cleghorn Glen central access point at the bottom of Bellefield Road

An opportunity to explore this hidden glen as night falls and the wildlife stirs. With luck we may see badgers, roe deer, great spotted woodpeckers, owls and perhaps even otters (although there is no guarantee !).

Bring warm clothes and walking boots / wellies and perhaps binoculars. The group will need to be relatively quiet, so no dogs  or unaccompanied children.

Terrain:  Footpaths, but potentially uneven and muddy

Maximum number of participants:  12

Age group:  Any age, but no unaccompanied children. No dogs

Driving and public transport directions:  Follow A706 NE out of Lanark for 750m, turn left onto Bellefield Road. Follow this for 1km, sharp left, then park on waste ground on the left

Parking:  Cleghorn Glen central access point at the bottom of Bellefield Road. Park on the waste ground opposite the footpath sign NS 8862 4524
