Event's Address:
Crossford Inn, 99 Lanark Road, Crossford, ML8 5RAJoin the Lanarkshire Songwriters for an afternoon workshop covering the art of Songwriting. Anyone with an interest in songwriting whether it be starting out or wishing guidance to progress, can bring along their instruments and will be made most welcome.
Running as part of a wider songwriting project, Fruits of Their Labours, the theme of the workshops will be Clyde Valley Orchards. We will have oral histories and archive material on hand to help inspire you, or you can bring along your own stories, objects and ideas for inspiration.
The workshops will start with an introduction to the steps in writing a song and include groupwork to come up with lyrics and music. The workshops will end with a small performance within the group, sharing the Fruits of OUR Labours!
