Volunteer

The Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership needs you. There are opportunities over the programme for you to volunteer on activities and projects undertaken by our partners. Many of these will allow you to learn new skills through FREE training.

Volunteering opportunities include:

  • Nature conservation
  • Education
  • Path creation and improvements
  • Archeological excavations
  • Exploring the past through heritage projects
  • Oral History
  • Arts and culture

CAVLP are also looking for volunteer Ambassadors to help us celebrate our projects and get the word out to help local people to get involved - come and join us! We have quartlery newsletters, event and volunteer opportunity posters and flyers that we distribute throughout the year. Other tasks volunteers may be involved in: Talks on CAVLP aims and achievements to community groups, Photography and write up of projects / sites / events, Promoting our work on social media (helping to share and RT our updates and spread the word), Attending village fairs and events to provide a CAVLP stall / local presence, Help with office based tasks e.g. mailings, Ad hoc projects. http://www.volunteerscotland.net/find-an-opportunity/opportunity-search/detail/?opportunityID=200244

By volunteering, you will:

  • Contribute to the aims of the partnership to enhance, conserve and celebrate the valleys landscape
  • Be able to get free training in a range of skills, from chainsaw training to working with media
  • Gain new experiences and learn more about your local landscape
  • Meet new people and get involved in your community
