Lantern Making Workshops and Parade

The lantern making workshops take place from 10am to 4pm and you will need to book a time slot: 10am-11.30am, 11.30am-1pm, 1pm-2.30pm, 2.30pm-4pm.

Make a lantern from willow and tissue paper using our kits and instructions with guidance from the rangers.

After you have made your lantern why not join us for the parade!

The lantern parade takes place as dusk draws in at 4.30pm. We will walk through New Lanark and back to our Visitor Centre.

The parade will last approximately 30mins, after which we will offer refreshments, juice and biscuits.

This is a hands-on event and adults will need to assist their children in the making of the lanterns. For every two children, there must be one adult present. Suitable for 4+ years.
