Lanark Community Development Trust

Working for Lanark

Incorporated officially in June 2009, Lanark Community Development Trust exists as an independent, locally rooted organisation with the interests of the town at heart. Here in Lanark, they aspire to develop and deliver priority community projects which have a social, environmental and economic impact.

There is no shortage of community action in Lanark, where high levels of social capital available locally are clearly visible. However, ideas for new events and opportunities to use vacant land or reuse buildings often disappear before opportunities are taken to turn them into real community assets. The Trust endeavours to further harness the skills and talents which exist locally to develop robust and sustainable solutions to the many issues which face the town today.
