Carluke Development Trust
A charity serving the residents within the Parish of Carluke
One of its first kind to be set up in Scotland, the Carluke Development Trust (CDT) is a local community organisation owned and managed by elected volunteers within Carluke and surrounding areas. The group aims to achieve the sustainable regeneration of the local community or address a range of economic, social. Environmental and cultural issues within the community.
CDT are independent but seek to collaborate and work in partnership with other private, public or third sector organisations, such as Carluke Historical Society, who are involved in the regeneration of the High Mill.
CDT are collaborating and supporting the Carluke High Mill Steering Group, who, with and for the benefit of the Carluke community, will secure the long term future of The High Mill by returning it to a working state. The group will establish a working extended High Mill as a key centre of cultural, economic and educational activity in Carluke and help raise the profile of Carluke, and pride in its heritage, through the activities it undertakes. Please see separate Carluke High Mill Local Network listing, below, for more details.
