Contract length: October – March Project

Budget : £3000.00

Working on an exciting large scale Arts and Heritage project; we are looking for a photographer to work in South Lanarkshire. You will be tasked with taking a mixture of event photography, professional documentation of artistic outcomes and landscape/ urban photography.

The commissioned photographer would also tie into our citizen journalist training project and would be expected to support this team in their event documentation and when appropriate allow them to shadow your processes and methods for capturing professional imagery.

There is a separate contract to undertake citizen journalism training within the project if this is something that you can also fulfil you can bid for both parts of the contract.

Over the coming months we will be delivering a series of artistic interventions, workshops and wayfinding as part of the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership programme. This activity is to be undertaken to promote active travel, increase awareness of arts and heritage in the area and increase people’s participation in Art and Heritage activity.

Over the course of the project we want to train a minimum of 10 local people to help report on this project, other Clyde and Avon Valley activities and other locally relevant activities. You will also work closely with this element of the project.

This contract can be fulfilled by an individual or a group and we are asking for submissions / proposals that will fulfil the following requirements:

  • Event photography across the whole programme
  • Professional documentation of artistic outcomes
  • Urban and landscape photography of points of the newly developed routes

The role will require you to work across Carluke, Larkhall, Lanark, Stonehouse and Glassford with some meetings in Glasgow. Own transport is beneficial, though the project promotes the use of active travel whenever possible such as public transport, walking and cycling.
